U2 have been the world's biggest-selling band over the past 12 months, raking in £84.9million.
The Irish group, currently staging their global 360 tour, were ranked top band by website Forbes.com, despite cancelling their Glastonbury gig because of Bono's bad back.
Rockers AC/DC were in second place with £74.5million followed by Beyonce on £56.8million.
Bruce Springsteen was fourth on the list with £45.7million. And despite her problems, Britney Spears came in fifth with £41million.
One of the few relatively youthful acts on the list was Lady Gaga, 24, who has amassed £40.5million to come in seventh.
Queen of Pop Madonna, on £37.9million, showed she remains a major player in the industry by coming in at eighth place, while Coldplay finished in joint 10th with the Black Eyed Peas on £31.3million.
