Eminem and Rihanna Lie 'Still' Atop Hot 100

while Eminem loses his grip of the No. 1 slot on the Billboard 200, his "Love the Way You Lie," featuring Rihanna, crowns the Hot 100 chart for a third straight week. The song claims the Airplay Gainer trophy for a fifth straight frame and leaps 5-2 on Radio Songs (up 15% to 134.2 million listener impressions, according to Nielsen BDS), where it will most likely overtake Katy Perry's "California Gurls" for the top spot next week.

On Digital Songs, "Lie" stands at No. 1 for a sixth week with downloads decreasing by 9.6% to 300,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Perry's former No. 1, "California Gurls," remains at No. 2 on the Hot 100 and is joined in the top 10 by follow-up single "Teenage Dream," which soars 20-7 as the chart's Digital Gainer. Download sales increase by 119% to 183,000 (11-4 on Digital Songs), while radio audience nearly doubles as well (up 97%) as song jumps 75-39 on Radio Songs with 29.5 million impressions.

Also claiming two slots in the to 10 is Usher, who bumps 12-9 with "DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love," featuring Pitbull, while former chart-topper "OMG" migrates 8-10. "DJ" is his 16th top 10, tying him with Rod Stewart, Hall & Oates, George Michael and Ludacris for 18th among all acts in the history of the Hot 100, which launched 52 years ago this month.

Taio Cruz's "Dynamite" holds at No. 3, while "Airplanes" by B.o.B featuring Hayley Williams stays grounded at No. 4. Enrique Iglesias' "I Like It," featuring Pitbull, creeps into the top five with a 6-5 move.

With Pitbull contributing a guest vocal on Iglesias' track as well as Usher's new top 10, he doubles his overall top 10 output. As a lead artist he's reached the upper tier with "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)," which hit No. 2 in June 2009 and with "Hotel Room Service," which peaked at No. 8 three months later.

Rounding out the top 10 recap are Mike Posner's "Cooler Than Me" (7-6) and "Billionaire" by Travie McCoy featuring Bruno Mars (5-8).

Sugarland lands the best-ever Billboard Hot 100 entry for a country duo or group as "Stuck Like Glue" claims the Hot Shot Debut at No. 20. The entry falls just shy of the act's best overall peak on the list which occurred when "All I Want to Do" reached No. 18 on the chart dated July 19, 2008. "Glue," which previews the October 19 arrival of the duo's fourth studio album "The Incredible Machine," shifts 93,000 downloads in its first week of release.

Among country acts, only Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Rascal Flatts have opened with higher download totals, though unlike Sugarland, each of those acts had previously achieved a measurable amount of pop crossover success at the time of those debuts. On Country Songs, "Stuck Like Glue" improves 44-22 in its second week, the quickest jump to No. 22 or higher by a duo or group on that chart since Rascal Flatts flew 24-19 on the July 28, 2007, chart.

Rapper Asher Roth debuts at No. 79 with "G.R.I.N.D. (Get Ready It's A New Day)," Shinedown starts at No. 97 with top 10 Alternative track (No. 6) "The Crow and the Buttlerfly" and Rihanna's "Rockstar 101" cracks the top 100 at No. 99, with guest guitar licks by Slash. The Guns 'N Roses legend was only on the chart by name one other time, as a featured artist with the late Ol' Dirty Bastard on "Fix" by Blackstreet (No. 58 peak in August 1997).

Also debuting is Kenny Chesney at No. 96 with "The Boys of Fall," the fist single from his upcoming set "Hemingway's Whiskey," due Sept. 28. The song already ranks at No. 11 on Country Songs in only its third week on that chart. Expect a big Hot 100 jump next week as first-week download sales will figure into the song's ranking.

Taylor Swift's 'Mine' Single Leaks

Also expected to make a strong debut next week is Taylor Swift with "Mine." The first single from her upcoming "Speak Now" album was concurrently delivered to radio and iTunes on August 4. A top 10 Hot 100 debut is likely, with a No. 1 entry not out of the question.
