Emma Watson Chops All Of Her Hair Off... But For What?

Hermione Granger is dead. Long live hairless Emma Watson!

In fairness, Emma Watson isn't exactly hairless. But with her work on the "Harry Potter" franchise officially over, the young English actress made some drastic alterations to her signature long locks, opting instead for a much shorter haircut. Personally, I dig the new look. I don't put much weight into these things most of the time, but I do get a sense that Watson has put one piece of her career behind her and is looking towards the next step.

Speaking of next steps — without her familiar franchise and hair, here are a few suggestions for where Watson should go with her new short 'do.

"Entourage" Guest Appearance
Believe it or not, Watson is actually late to the ball game when it comes to chopping off all of her hair in dramatic fashion, as Vinnie Chase (Adrien Grenier) did the exact same thing on an episode of "Entourage" earlier this season. With Vinnie's director Nick Cassavetes furious with the young star's decision, perhaps Emma Watson can swoop in and provide the reckless actor with some short-haired guidance.

"The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo"
Everybody and their grandmother has been wondering who will saddle up alongside Daniel Craig as the alluring Lisbeth Salander in "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo," but Watson's name has been curiously off the list. Looking at her now, I think she would be a great choice for the role. It's an edgier, darker franchise than the one she's just come off of, making the career move just as drastic a change as her decision to chop off her hair.

Comic Book Hero
Maybe her days at Hogwarts are over, but that's not to say that Watson couldn't have a desk at Charles Xavier's school for the gifted when "X-Men: First Class" rolls around. After all, with her shorter hair, Watson is a spitting image of Jean Grey from Marvel's Ultimate line of comics.

"Alien" Relaunch
Forget Ridley Scott's "Alien" prequel/reboot/thingy. Let's get straight to an "Alien" franchise remake with Emma Watson taking over Sigourney Weaver's role as Ellen Ripley. "Why would you ever suggest such a thing," you might ask — well, other than the fact that her apparent commitment to chopping off all of her hair would making pulling off Weaver's completely shaved "Alien 3" hairdo easy as pie, I confess that I have no good reason for casting Watson as Ripley.

Sinead O'Connor Biopic
Enough said.
