Paris Hilton has spent hours removing graffiti from walls in Los Angeles as part of a community service punishment for possessing cocaine.

The Hollywood socialite looked as if she were determined to stick with her style as she carried out the mundane task.
She was pictured wearing the yellow T-shirt of the community service workers but that was as far as she went in conforming.

With her designer shades, hooped gold earrings and black stilettos, she did not look as though she was dressed for outdoor painting and decorating.
She appeared to smile for the camera at one point but could not help pouting at one of her fellow workers at another time.

The rules of community service in LA are quite strict.
Offenders are told to turn up by 7am and, if they are 15 minutes late, they will be sent home so the day will not count as part of their sentence.
Paris is not just concentrating on her community service, she is also filming a new reality show co-starring members of her family.
