Christina Aguilera and Rihanna's raunchy X Factor performances have caused thousands of viewers to complain.
Media regulator Ofcom received thousands of complaints as people asked why the raunchy routines were aired before the watershed imposed on TV to protect younger viewers from adult scenes.
Aguilera, 29, performed a song from her new movie Burlesque and the dancers were dressed in just their bras and underwear with suspenders.
Rihanna, 22, also danced in just a bra and knickers during her performance on the ITV1 show, which saw its final show watched by almost 20million people.
ITV were inundated by complaints just 24 hours after the show was aired at 7pm and 9pm on December 11.
Ofcom's Broadcasting Code says: 'Any discussion on, or portrayal of, sexual behaviour must be editorially justified if included before the watershed.'
