In past years, we have seen duets between the likes of Beyoncé and Alexandra Burke, Olly Murs and Robbie Williams and the 2009 champ, Joe McElderry and George Michael…and if the rumours are true, this years finale could be the best yet!
Reports have already suggested that Matt Cardle will perform with Christina Aguilera, with his mentor, Dannii Minogue keen to secure Xtina for her act.
As for the rest of the finalists, rumours on Twitter have claimed that mega stars Rihanna, Robbie Williams and Will.I.Am could also be on the roster to join one of the hopefuls for a duet.
According to Twitter users, Simon Cowell's aide Sinitta is also said to have apparently told The Mirror that Grime star, Professor Green, would be perfect for Cher to duet with, while other various internet sites have claimed Lloyd's mentor, Cheryl Cole, could step out to perform with her act.
Commenting on all the internet speculation, an X Factor spokesperson stated yesterday that: "We're not confirming any of our guest performers."
Meanwhile, the XF fix row continues to rage on, prompting Simon Cowell to urge fans not to "turn their backs" on the talent show.
Following reports that Mary Byrne's exit on Sunday's result show was rigged for 17-year old Cher to make the final, SiCo has pleaded with viewers in an open-letter to The Mirror to "trust the show."
Cowell claimed that the sing-off was brought in for the semi-final "to stop it from becoming boring."
The music mogul explained: "As the excitement heats up, debates begin but I do want to assure people that the show is definitely not fixed."
"The reason this show has been so popular I believe is primarily because of the talent and the passion the viewers feel for the show. It is only the viewers’ vote that can keep their favourite in."
He added: “I have always listened to and respected our viewers and believe they ultimately make the right decision. I hope viewers trust the show, that this is a fair competition
