Lauren Conrad To Pen Style Guide

She’s a successful TV star, fashion designer and fiction writer, but she hasn’t written a book on style — until now. Lauren Conrad will unveil her top style tips in Lauren Conrad Style, to be published by Harper Collins in the fall of 2010. The book will not only feature new and never-before-seen photos of the fashion icon, but the former MTV “Hills” star will show readers exactly how to interpret her classic and cool style into their lives. “I am really excited to write a style guide,” said Conrad, who designs an affordable clothing line for Kohl’s, in a release. “I think fashion should be fun and reflective of who you are. When you wear clothes you feel good in, it shows in everything you do. I know this guide will offer simple, practical tips to help anyone look fabulous.” This year, Lauren released her first book L.A. Lauren Conrad Reveals Essential Fashion Items

Lauren Conrad says a little black dress, a pair of skinny jeans and a blazer are essential items in any girl's wardrobe. The former star of "The Hills", who has released her own fashion book "Style", believes that by owning those pieces women will always have something to fall back on if they can't find anything to wear.

She said, "Every girl should have a little black dress, a great boyfriend blazer and a pair of skinny jeans in their wardrobe."

Lauren follows her own fashion advice and says she couldn't live without her Stella McCartney little black dress because it's so versatile. She said, "My black, tiered Stella McCartney dress wasn't as short on the rack; I had my tailor transform it into a mini."

"I've worn it with a strand of classic pearls, paired with tights and a blazer, and under a shrunken leather jacket with gladiator heels. One dress so many looks."

Speaking about skinny jeans, Lauren, 24, said, "They may not be the jean for everyone, but they're definitely my go-to cut. I wear them with a tank top and sandals, or tucked into boots with loads of layers."

Lauren Conrad Spices Up the Mall of America

She’s always been a fan of shopping, and Lauren Conrad was spotted at the Mall of America doing a promotional visit yesterday (October 19).

The Reality TV star/designer/author signed copies of her books “Sugar and Spice” and “Lauren Conrad Style” at the Best Buy Rotunda inside the Bloomington, Minnesota locale.

Lauren Conrad Book Signing In Her Hometown

Fans of Lauren Conrad flocked to Laguna Beach Books on Saturday afternoon as the reality star they watched grow up returned to her hometown as an accomplished author and designer.

Conrad signed her latest novel, "Sugar and Spice," and "Lauren Conrad Style" for about 200 people. Though Conrad now spends most of her time in L.A., she still has a home in Laguna and comes back whenever she can.

"It's a little more laid back," said Conrad, adding she misses the beaches when she's away. "Of course we have Malibu, but it's not the same."

Fans, many of them teens, came from around Orange County and beyond for the book signing. When it comes to style, Conrad said she encouraged girls to be creative and make mistakes.

"It's important to develop your personal style," she said. "When you're younger, I think it's easier to go with the crowd."

Lauren Conrad: Herve Leger Hottie

Having been keeping a low profile since "The Hills" finale aftershow, Lauren Conrad was spotted out shopping in Los Angeles, California on Monday (July 26).

Wearing rainbow shoes, cut-off shorts, a grey hooded sweatshirt and flip-flops, the former MTV reality star popped into Herve Leger clothing store to grab a few additions to her wardrobe.

As for what she's got going on in the career end of things, Lauren recently chatted about her upcoming book tour with Cupcake mag.

She tells, "I have a book tour coming up in the beginning of October. Actually it’s a double tour for my third novel, Sugar & Spice, and a Style guide that I wrote (Lauren Conrad Style). Besides that I have the clothing lines to keep me busy, but I am also looking for the perfect project to produce. I’ve always loved the production side of entertainment and would love to be a part of it. I just want to be careful to select a show that I’ll love. I want my first one to be great!"

‘Lauren Conrad Style’ Cover Revealed

She’s making quite a name for herself as an author, and now Lauren Conrad’s new book Style was inspired by her loyal fan following.

During a recent interview, LC explained, “The first book tour I went on, I had the opportunity to meet thousands and thousands of fans. The majority of the questions were about fashion. It was fun to share all the things I had learned.”

As for her own taste, the former “Hills” babe revealed she’s not an off-the-rack kind of girl. “Most of the things I buy are tailored.”

For all you wannabe fashionistas out there, Lauren’s Style book is due to hit bookstores nationwide on October 5th.

Lauren Conrad's Simple Skin Routine

Lauren Conrad keeps her skincare routine simple.

The reality TV star - who has her own range of clothes for US store Kohl's - says she has now learned not to use too many products on her face and feels much better for it.

She told People magazine: "I used to use a ton of stuff. I've been going to Kate Somerville for a while now, and through facials and treatments they've weaned down my skincare regimen, which is nice. Now at night, I just use a mild face wash and an oil-free moisturiser."

Lauren is currently creating her next collection for Kohl's and loves being involved in the process.

She said: "I have a delivery coming up in a few months, and it's my favourite yet. Designing is a learning process, but it's been fun. I've fallen more and more in love with it as time's gone on."

The 24-year-old beauty is also looking forward to taking her fashion book, 'Lauren Conrad Style', on tour later this year.

She said: "The style guide was so much fun to do. We start our tour October 5, and I'm really excited."
