Olga Kurylenko (Ukrainian: Ольга Куриленко, born November 14, 1979) is a Ukrainian model and actress.She was born in Berdyansk and discovered by a female model scout while on vacation in Moscow at the age of fifteen. She began her film career in France in 2005. She received the certificate of excellence award at the 2006 Brooklyn International Film Festival for her performance in L'Annulaire, and also starred in the Paris, je t'aime segment Quartier de la Madeleine opposite Elijah Wood. In 2007, Kurylenko starred in Hitman alongside Timothy Olyphant. She will also star as Bond girl Camille in the newest 007 film, provisionally titled Bond 22.

Born and bred in the Ukrainian town Berdyansk, not too far from Russia, Olga Kurylenko is about to hit the big time after recently scoring the role of latest 'Bond Girl' in the new 007 film called Quantum of Solace.She's already been in a few movies, most notably L'Annulaire, Paris, je t'aime (with Elijah Wood), The Serpent, and Hitman.But these will all pale into insignificance when she plays Camille, the newest and arguably hottest Bond babe, in the twenty second 007 flick.

Meet the new hot and sexy bond girl of Ouantum of Solace - Olga Kurylenko as Camille. Olga is a Ukrainian-born model and actress. Olga Kurylenko received the certificate of excellence award at the 2006 Brooklyn International Film Festival for her performance in L'Annulaire, and also starred in the Paris, je t'aime segment Quartier de la Madeleine opposite Elijah Wood. In 2007, Kurylenko starred in Hitman with Timothy Olyphant.

Ouantum of Solace is the sequel to Casino Royale (2006), which is directed by Marc Forster, and features Daniel Craig's second performance as James Bond. In the film, Bond battles Dominic Greene (Mathieu Amalric), a member of the Quantum organization posing as an environmentalist, who intends to stage a coup d'état in Bolivia to take control of its water supply. Bond seeks revenge for the death of Vesper Lynd, and is assisted by Camille (Olga Kurylenko), who also wants to kill Greene.

Olga Kurylenko will play the alluring spy Camille Even Tatiana Romanova, the double agent in From Russia With Love, was actually an Italian.Now in a reversal of tradition, Bond’s new sidekick will be played by a star of French film and television originally from the Ukraine.
It has been announced that Olga Kurylenko, 28, a supermodel turned actress, will be “leading lady” cast along side Daniel Craig in the latest 007 outing.

Miss Kurylenko, recently seen opposite Timothy Olyphant in video game spin-off Hitman, will star as the “dangerously alluring” Camille. The 5ft 8 inch model, who was discovered while on holiday in Moscow when she was 15, lives in Paris and has starred in a number of French television series and films. As well as Hitman, they include 2006’s Paris, Je T’aime opposite Elijah Wood. The announcement of her role comes just days after the British actress Gemma Arterton, star of St Trinian’s was also named as a Bond girl. Filming on Bond 22 (the working title) has already started at Pinewood Studios, led by the Kite Runner director Marc Forster who also won an Oscar for Finding Neverland.The movie is due for release on 7 November.
The plot is expected to follow on from the events of Casino Royale, with Bond picking up the pieces after being double-crossed by Treasury agent Vesper Lynd. The Producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said Camille “challenges Bond and helps him come to terms with the emotional consequences of Vesper’s betrayal”.


Daniel Craig will star as the British superspy for the second time. Other returning cast members include Dame Judi Dench as M, Jeffrey Wright as Felix Leiter and Giancarlo Giannini as Mathis. The French actor Mathieu Amarilic, currently winning plaudits for his role in The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, will play the villainous Dominic Greene, while 21-year-old Arterton makes her debut as MI6's Agent Fields. Casino Royale, released in 2006, made almost $600m (?300m) at box offices around the world. Miss Kurylenko is well qualified is well qualified for her role in the action film. For Hitman she spent six months learning Chinese martial arts. She has said that she wants to follow in the footsteps of her countrywoman Milla Jovovich who has successfully swapped the catwalk for Hollywood. Meanwhile a set of stamps to mark the centenary of James Bond creator Ian Fleming’s birth was launched yesterday.They feature cover designs from six of Fleming’s famous 007 novels including Casino Royale, Dr No, Goldfinger, Diamonds Are Forever, For Your Eyes Only and From Russia With Love..

Olha Kostiantynivna Kurylenko (Ukrainian: Ольга Костянтинівна Куриленко, Russian: Ольга Константиновна Куриленко; born November 14, 1979) better known as Olga Kurylenko, is a Ukrainian actress and model. She is perhaps best known as the Bond girl, Camille Montes, in the 22nd James Bond film, Quantum of Solace. She also portrayed Nika Boronina in the movie adaptation of the video game Hitman. Born in Ukraine, she became a French citizen in 2001.

Early life and background

Olga Kurylenko was born in Berdyansk, Ukraine. Her father Konstantin is Ukrainian and her mother, Marina Alyabusheva, is an art teacher of Russian and Belarusian descent, who was born in Irkutsk Oblast, Russia.

She grew up in a typical Soviet household, in an apartment she shared with her aunt and uncle, grandparents, and cousin. She never had any fancy clothes, often wearing hand-me-downs, babushkas, and re-sewing torn sweaters instead of buying new ones. "I couldn't have anything, basically," she has said of her childhood. "I couldn't have any clothes I wanted, shoes, beds, clothes for school — because my mum couldn't buy them."

When Kurylenko was three years old, her parents divorced, leaving her to be raised by her mother. Kurylenko rarely had contact with her father, meeting him for the first time when she was eight years old, and later again when she was 13.

Career

Kurylenko was discovered by a female model scout while on vacation in Moscow at the age of 13. When she was 17, she signed a contract with the Paris-based Madison modeling agency. By the age of 18, she had already appeared on the covers of Vogue and Elle. While working as a model in Paris, Kurylenko supported her mother back home in Ukraine.

She also appeared on the covers of Madame Figaro and Marie Claire.

She became the face of Triumph lingerie, Lejaby lingerie, Bebe, Clarins, and Helena Rubinstein. Furthermore, she modelled for Roberto Cavalli and Kenzo, and appeared in the Victoria's Secret catalog.

Kurylenko's first acting appearance was in Seal's music video, 'Love's Divine' in 2003, but her film career began in France during 2005. She received the certificate of excellence award at the 2006 Brooklyn International Film Festival for her performance in L'Annulaire, and also starred in the Paris, je t'aime segment Quartier de la Madeleine opposite Elijah Wood. That same year, she was selected to be the face of Kenzo's new fragrance, Kenzo Amour. She has appeared in all subsequent Kenzo Amour ads. In 2007, Kurylenko starred in Hitman alongside Timothy Olyphant, in which she did a full nude scene. She had a minor role in Max Payne as Natasha. The fact that she is the first Bond girl from a post-Soviet state received mixed reactions in Russia. The Saint Petersburg based Communist group KPLO has accused her of "moral and intellectual betrayal" in starring in a film about the "enemy of the Soviet people" (meaning James Bond) (Kurylenko considered that a PR move,) but the mayor of Berdyansk has suggested naming a street after her and Kurylenko and her mother met Ukraine's First Lady Kateryna Yushchenko in President Yushchenko's family country house.

Kurylenko will appear in Terrence Malick's sixth feature, shot in fall 2010 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Also starring Ben Affleck, Javier Bardem and Rachel McAdams, the film is currently in post-production.

Personal life

In 2000, Kurylenko married French fashion photographer Cedric van Mol, but the couple divorced four years later. In 2006, she married American mobile phone accessory entrepreneur Damian Gabrielle. They divorced in late 2007. Kurylenko lived in Paris after leaving Ukraine in 1996 to pursue her modeling career, but moved to London in 2009. In 2001, she was granted French citizenship.

The new generation of Ukrainians are energetic and want to drastically change the world for the better, and it will fight for change.

In an October 2009 chat session with Komsomolskaya Pravda Ukraine, she stated that she does not intend to move back to Ukraine, or to remarry.

Kurylenko speaks Ukrainian, Russian, English, French; she also claims she can speak Spanish and can understand Italian.

Kurylenko is a philanthropist noted for her work for the underprivileged, focusing on children in her native Ukraine. In an interview with the December 2009 edition of Alliance Magazine, she outlined her goal of using her profile to draw attention to her chosen causes, saying: "I have this fame now, I have to use it. If you can at least spread the word it's already good."
