Bill Clinton must be feeling generous! According to Televisa Espectáculos, the former President just donated a cool $2 million to Shakira for the youth-targeted nutritional programs she has established in Colombia.
President Clinton, who is traveling throughout Latin America to check up on projects supported by his Clinton-Guistra Sustainable Growth Initiative, flew to Shakira's hometown of Barranquilla on March 28 to visit the singer's school, El Colegio Fundación Pies Descalzos. Shaki's recently established school has developed a nutritional program for 1,600 children, and Clinton's donation, which Shakira's Pies Descalzos Foundation has promised to match within two years, will go directly towards helping students of the program.
Following his visit to Barranquilla, Clinton made a stop in Medellín to discuss the world economic crisis Inter-American Development Bank with its President, Luis Alberto Moreno.
