With Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows enchanting muggles across the world (and scoring the franchise's strongest opening weekend with $125 million in the U.S. alone!) Broadway.com asked which Harry Potter actor should follow the path of Daniel Radcliffe (who will star in a revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying this spring) and make his or her Broadway debut. The results are in, and Emma Watson, who plays Harry's close friend Hermione Granger, landed in the top spot with 29% of votes. While the 20 year-old actress may have grown up in England, Broadway isn't too far from her current home at Brown University!
Readers are also eager to see a Potter villain apparate to Broadway. Helena Bonham Carter, who plays the devious Deatheater, Bellatrix Lestrange, earned 19% of votes for a second place finish. A Broadway musical wouldn't be a stretch for the actress, as she earned a Golden Globe nomination for playing Mrs. Lovett in the 2007 film version of the Tony-winning musical Sweeney Todd.
Another member of Voldemort's Deatheater crew landed in third place. Tom Felton, who sports platinum hair as Bellatrix Lestrange's nephew, Draco Malfoy, earned 10% of votes.
